The Enterprise Intelligence Layer
How accountable AI systems move from isolated automation to a durable, organization-wide decision capability.
Record opened 24 June 2026 · Research brief · In preparation
The question
How can intelligence systems improve enterprise judgment without separating automation from accountable authority?
Scope and working thesis
How an organisation moves from isolated automation to a shared decision capability: which decisions benefit from a common intelligence layer, what such a layer must remember, and what evidence an AI-assisted decision must preserve for later review.
An enterprise intelligence layer is a memory and governance architecture before it is a model architecture; the decisions it improves most are the ones the institution currently re-makes from scratch each cycle.
